The introduction, production and trading of black soap is a cultural practice that is credited to the Yoruba tribe in west africa.

It has been crafted and preserved by women in West Africa for a very long time. 

Known as Alata-Samina in Ghana where alata means “spicy” an endeared description given to Yoruba women who traded and made black soap. the spicy references to the spiciness of these Yoruba women's food.

Black soap is derived from a classic recipe that is all organic and traditionally regarded as medicinal due to its bactericidal and antifungal properties.

Black soap removes the worst microbial scum with a carbon exfoliating lather that is vitamin rich. 

Use as a hand soap, body wash, shampoo or as an antiseptic household cleanser.
